Sealing your asphalt driveway or parking lot can preserve the resilience of the asphalt surface and help hide small cracks, patches, and rough spots. Surface Treatment

Surface treatment, also known as a tar and gravel surface, has a similar look to a gravel surface. The difference is a layer of tar under the gravel that helps to better hold the gravel in place. This tar layer greatly reduces the need to grade and even out the surface over time

The surface treatment method is done by first digging out and grading the driving or parking surface. We will then haul any excess materials away from your home or business. Next, we lay down 4 inches of 21A grade stone and compact. Now we cover the compacted stone with tar. Lastly, we evenly spread a Chipping stone and compact. This last process can be done twice at your request.

Asphalt Re-cap

Many times an old driveway or parking lot can simply be re-surfaced to extend the life and look. This can greatly reduce the labor and material costs as opposed to a new asphalt surface.

To re-cap your driveway we start by cutting out sections at the entrance way, sidewalk, garage, or other areas so that we can properly tie in the new surface evenly. Next we patch crumbled areas and fill in low spots. Then we tack the edges with tar and pave with 2 inches of asphalt that will compact to a 1 and a half inch asphalt surface. After completion you will have a brand new looking surface that will increase the life at a lower cost that other methods.
